In many ways, the new watch series MM , with a case diameter of 46.5mm and a weight (excl. leather strap) of about 83g, is an impressive timepiece. The massive, three-piece stainless steel case with screwed-in stainless steel back with see-through crystal inlay, the domed and scratch-resistant sapphire glass, the unadorned dial with 12 applied indexes and the solid leather strap with steel buckle, are expressions of the a.b.art creed and reflect the understated design.
The heart of series MM is the legendary 16 1/2’’’ lines hand wind mechanical movement Unitas 6498-1 with 17 rubies, the precision control based ETA-Chron (index-adjuster), 18000 vibrations per hour (2.5Hz) and the Incabloc shock-absorption. Power autonomy of the series MM is 44 to 48 hours, accuracy is -10/+15 seconds. The movement, which was originally a pocket-watch movement, is rhodium-plated with Côtes de Genève (Geneva stripes) and blued screws. The new mechanical series MM is currently available with a black, white or champagne coloured dial.
Retail price in speciality stores is CHF 1,090.00, Euro 695.00 or $US 1,095.00, respectively.
