Braille Watches by Auguste Reymond

A return to its sources for Auguste Reymond, a Swiss specialist for over 50 years in tactile watches for the blind. The manufacturer has launched the Braille Charleston and Braille Hi-Touch.
With the Braille Charleston, the watch brand has gone back to one of its flagship models, the very elegant Charleston, and has equipped it with a raised bezel so that the hours and minutes can be read with the fingertips.
The Charleston line was inspired by the first rectangular watches designed by Auguste Reymond in the 1920s. Its smooth shapes and curved sapphire crystal make it as attractive to look at as to touch.
It is easy to forget that the Hi-Touch, with its resolutely contemporary design and easy-to-use system, has been specially made for the visually impaired. A hinge at 10 o’clock gives access to a dial with raised hour-markers and special hands for a tactile reading of the time.
On left, picture shows the Braille Charleston in steel with gold-coloured PVD-coating; white lacquered dial and raised hands and hour markers for tactile reading.
On right, picture shows the Braille Hi-Touch with special hands for the blind, in stainless steel with anthracite dial with raised hands and hour markers for tactile reading.
