A tribute to those who are fond of unique pieces, the FRED Gladiateur Collector is a limited edition collection with lines that evoke the spirit of sportsmanship and the unyielding power of ancient warriors. A subtle reflection of FRED values and its expertise in jewellery making and in Swiss watchmaking, this new design features details inspired by the marine universe, including a blue sapphire cabochon, entirely automatic movements, as well as all other features associated with an authentic diving watch.
The FRED Gladiateur Collector features a rounded case and combines polished and satin finished details in pink gold or stainless steel with the natural rubber of the strap. Available in 40 and 44mm, it blends comfort and elegant refinement in a way that will appeal to both men and women.
The smooth shape of the Gladiateur Collector is distinguished by details inspired by the marine universe, which are seen throughout FRED designs. The crown protector (a truly stylish element) is reminiscent of a rigging shackle, and the unidirectional bezel echoes the shape of a rudder. The strap features a reinterpretation of a sailing rope pattern.
Natural mother-of-pearl and black lacquer were selected for their sheen and for the elegant look they add to each face. The carbon fiber of the face (a very high-tech material that is used in the naval industry) was selected for its light weight and extreme resistance to high temperatures. Finally, the vulcanised rubber of the strap is recognised for its exceptional strength and elasticity.
Each model features a genuine blue sapphire cabochon set on the crown. Diamonds have exceptional brilliance with an extremely white colour (F-G colour and VVS clarity), which is an exclusive quality associated with Haute Joaillerie.
With sword-shaped skeleton large hands and extra-luminescent indexes, a unidirectional indented bezel and a screw-down crown secured with a crown protector, as well as an adjustable strap, it is water-resistant to 200 meters and has all the features of a diving watch. Highly functional, it is also extremely easy to read with its large dial window.
Signed by the world’s most well-known watch manufacturers, the entirely automatic movements of FRED Gladiateur Collector watches were selected for their performance, reliability and resistance. Moreover, Zenith has issued a Limited Edition calibre especially for FRED with 36 numbered copies released. It is the only automatic chronograph in the world (certified by the COSC) capable of measuring time intervals with 1/10th of a second accuracy. This model is offered exclusively in pink gold.
